Title: Time to Face the Music
Series: Buffy: the Vampire Slayer/Runaways/Young Justice
Spoilers/warnings: Warped AU of the Buffy-verse where things diverged with the Pride’s kids and Young Justice crashing the dimension. So Buffy didn’t die, Bart ended up being the Key, Anya terrifies Chase after infidelity talks, and Kon is still super “mature.”
Wordcount: 4,023
Summary: There are no small parts, only small actors and people from alternate dimensions who sometimes go off-stage.
Author’s note: For [ profile] poor_choices, who bought me in the [ profile] help_haiti auction like the cheap hooker I am. Just keep telling yourself it was for a good cause.

We'll sing a happy song. And you can sing along. )

I've finally crawled out of the backlog of all my obligations (okay just some) but the perfect response would be to give myself more work. Everyone I flaked out on before has full permission to smack me here. Yes, even if I'm still working on their other stuff...

The first TEN people to comment in this post get to request a drabble of any pairing/character of their choosing from me. In return, they have to post this in their journal, regardless of their ability level. If you absolutely can't write, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to offer drawings or icons or something instead.

1. [ profile] silverprism - Static Shock: Virgil and Richie
2. [ profile] wonderseal - AtLA/Mulan: Azula and Mulan
3. [ profile] synergic - Princess Tutu: Mytho/Ahiru(ish)
4. [ profile] starsofnite - DC/AtLA: Impulse and Toph
5. [ profile] calophi - TricK: Ueda/Naoko
6. [ profile] lady_ganesh - DC comics: Impulse and Brainy
7. [ profile] etherealprey - Adventures of Sinbad: Maeve/Sinbad
8. [ profile] skyebanshee - Merlin: Merlin/Arthur ...sort of?
9. [ profile] timmesque - Princess Tutu: Mytho/Rue
10. Congratulatory short story of stupid for me for finishing this one for once

In really, really, really, super belated response to [ profile] lilorchid1023's prompt here, because I should have actually finished it before she arrives tomorrow with the physical ability to kick me for being lax. Ignore the fact she probably forgot asking about it in the first place.

Now don't get carried away with your heart, you're better where you are )

This post has no coincidental timing to anything else. Really. ...I mean it.

Baby steps of trying to get back into writing. Very, tiny baby steps...

Title: Seven Virtues
Fandom: Young Justice
Summary: Seven drabbles spanning the Young Justice series based on the four classic virtues and the three faith virtues. Mix of characters and pairings.
Word Count: 700, er, 707 if you count titles.

Virtue, I grant you, is an empty boast; But shall the dignity of vice be lost? )

Because Skye was curious about Secret and wanted to know more, which translates in my language of "please dump massive amounts of stuff on me since I was asking for it and subject others to your obsessive fangirling as well, and I'll take the blame." So I did so, because Secret is my favorite DC character. Actually beating out Impulse, whom I adore, as well as Blue Beetle/Booster Gold, whom I want to snuggle and write cutesy slash for.

So I'll take advantage of it and give a basic rundown of the character, complete with scans and soundtrack. Because someone already did an Impulse compilation on [ profile] fst so I don't need to worry about him. Spoilers for the entire Young Justice run, sixteen pictures behind the cut, and overreaching fangirling. You have been warned.

Something solid, something substantial, I'm looking for something real )
gaisce: (Life carries on)
This is something old that I found on a disc, probably two or more years old, back when the series was still running and there was *no* Secret fic. Technically there still isn't considering what's found is either the same as mine or...disturbing. So I figured I should clear up some space and wonder if I write better or worse from that time period.

Title: A Firm Grasp
Fandom: Young Justice
Warnings: Set in nebulous 30's of YJ, continuity errors from there on in. Robin's a tad OOC for Peter David's portrayal, probably because I wrote him based on early nineties interpretation more. Totally without plot because I just wanted Secret to get some kind of comfort. Because I ♥ Secret.
Word Count: 2,067

Title: Tell
Author: [ profile] gaisce
Spoilers: All of Young Justice’s run, major plot points for Teen Titans and Identity Crisis.
Rated: As good and clean as the comics.
Summary: Cissie can aim at what is and ignore what isn’t, but you can’t do the same with words.

A letter to you )

I got through my physics midterm today. Expecting rose petals to fly in my wake, but I settled for scribbling out a comic. Hah! For once I don't do a Mikage themed drabble after a test!

This makes no sense if you do not get physics or Young Justice/Impulse

Impluse, the cute woobie guy in red and white often thinks in image bubbles. The other members of Young Justice do not. He shows off to Robin, with a clever analogy of his bird nickname.

Robin fires back with the different equations used to find the impulse in a centripetal acceleration equation.

Impulse shares the expression I have after each class.

Notice how I said "sense" and not anything relating to humor and lack thereof.
