Blatherskite...

Hmm, I feel like rambling off about a fandom or some such right now. TricK has been exhausted because someone would have issues with the spoilers. So all I'm going to say is Ueda was horribly mean! Bad, not nice Ueda! Bakabakabakabakabaka!!
Instead, I listened to the Utena musical CD today. To prepare for the cheese of the live action Sailor Moon drama that didn't work. It's cheesy to watch and these people are far from Rodgers and Hammerstein, but it's so good for the sake of "Hana Nai no Bara" (I love that song, especially since I understand the lyrics a bit better, it's so sad). Also the really misplaced English, which sounds so hilarious to hear something really sweet (still sappy as hell) and then hear "I love you forever." *snickers* That's so beautifully endearing to hear them with such sincerity say it wrong, it almost makes me feel fuzzy over Anthy/Utena without insane amounts of talent put into manipulating the scene like the writing at [livejournal.com profile] utenadrabble.
Best part of the musical is no ChuChu though. That thing scares me about as much as pokute scare Celeste. ^_^ *whistles innocently* But it's also great for the fact that Nanami and Wakaba get the best songs behind Utena's marvelous "Hana Nai no Bara." Heh. Lesser characters need love.

If those of you vouyers aren't bored enough watching my life I must also add it is:
My life is rated PG-13.
What is your life rated?

Hmm, I am all curious now...I have the Utena musical on VCD and it is about an hour long. I have this funny feeling that I have some different version of it than everyone else O.O;;;
Can you tell me more about your version or if the soundtrack follows the musical? ^_^

Long diatribe on it...

There are two kinds of this CD, Engage Toi Mes Contes, the musical numbers only and a two disc including drama excerpts (Course the internet shop didn't specify this but ah well...). The songs I found fit the musical part I did see (up to Saionji's duel). It has sixteen tracks including the TV size Rinbu Revolution with Tsuyoku Kitaku (Grow into a Strong Spirit), Ojiisama ga Ii (A Prince is Good), Sekai wo Kakumei Suru Tame ni (For the Sake of Revolutionizing the World), Bara no Hayome (Rose Bride), Kage Shoujo I (Shadow Girl I), Duirisuto (Duelist), Hana nai no Bara (Flowerless Rose), Matte Hoshii (Please Wait), and Arigatou Ai wo (Thank you for Your Love) and some others I can't translate fully. ^_^;;; Um, that's kind of general but if you want any specific ideas I might ramble some more. Oh yeah, there was also an interview with Kanna, the voice of Anthy and apparently a famous Japanese singer too.

I read about Kanna also...I think she did the voice in Sailor Moon musicals/live-actions..of Haruka I believe. Anyway, I know the 'Engage..' sdtk. because I think someone made me a cope of the drama bits---my fear was that somehow the actual musical [on VCD/video tape] was longer than the version I have ^^;;;
But perhaps it is not and the soundtrack is just longer, or at least that is how it seems.
Thank you so much for your help! ^_^ It is most appreciated~~
